Client: Fernando Cisneros
Service: K1 Visa (Fiancé Visa)
Fernando Cisneros had lived in the United States since 2001, obtaining both his legal permanent residency and citizenship not long thereafter. He regularly visited his mother in Mexico and during one of his visits, she introduced him to a woman who worked at a grocery store nearby. She was a widow and he had been divorced. They began seeing each other, and eventually got engaged.
Fernando was referred to Youngblood and Associates by a friend. Upon his return from proposing, he came to the office for help in obtaining a K1 visa for his fiancée.
The Youngblood and Associates team worked with Fernando to apply for a K1 visa for his fiancée. After the application was approved, we walked her through the consular process so that she was able to come to the United States to marry Fernando.
Fernando’s fiancée received the K1 visa and came to the U.S. to marry Fernando. The whole process took about seven months. Fernando reflects, “From the beginning until now the staff has treated me personally and like family.” Staff members at Youngblood and Associates even attended the couple’s wedding.
“Being legal means everything to us,” says Fernando. “Now we have a family and a real life. I was so lonely before and now I have everything I want. My wife wanted a family too and her life has been entirely changed. She gets to stay at home; I work in construction. It was hard for her to come here without family and friends, but she is learning English.” Fernando and his wife are happy married and recently had a baby.
